About

I am originally from Philadelphia, PA. I moved to Arizona in 1981 to attend Arizona State University and received my Bachelor of Science in biology in 1985. Growing up I had an art class in school, but there was very little instruction. We were told to paint whatever we wanted. I chose to paint the cover of a Boston album.

On May 21, 2024 I was awarded an Honorable Mention ribbon at the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains summer show for my painting Psychedelic Star.

After a juried selection, WICKED MOON and FREEDOM ISN’T FREE were chosen to hang in the 2025 Spring Gallery at The Maricopa Library & Cultural Arts Center for four months.

In March of 2026, the Maricopa Arts Council accepted my three paintings: Diamonds Are Forever, Roll Tide, & Symphony In Red into their Abstract Art Contest 2026 where they will hang in the Maricopa Community Center until mid June.

In the spring of 2026, The Maricopa Friends Of The Arts awarded me a $250.00 grant for my upcoming painting Star Spangled Sky.

I have always enjoyed looking at paintings and in the summer of 2021, I took a paint and sip class at Kittle’s Fine Art & Supply Company in Show Low, AZ. (For the record, I was drinking water because I don’t drink and drive.) I enjoyed it so much that I started painting on my own. John Kittle has been a great mentor answering my questions and offering helpful suggestions.

Feel free to reach out and contact me if you have any questions regarding my paintings. I look forward to hearing from you.

The price of a commissioned painting will vary with the size of the canvas and complexity of the painting. You can e-mail or text me the picture and size you want and I will be happy to give you a quote.
